I can see how unlimited financial resources could turn me into a workshop tramp. I guess I should be thankful that I am not in that situation. I already feel like I am over doing it with considering workshops right after attending AYC, but look at what’s coming down the pike in the NYC metro area during the month of April:
Yoga Journal conference- Not interested thank goodness. Mr. Freeman & Mr. Swenson will be there but I would just be back from enjoying their classes at AYC, and I’m not interested in yoga and chocolate or hip hop yoga.
Srivasta Ramaswami at the Yoga Shala in Ridgefield, CT ( my home shala).
Chuck Miller at Pure Yoga West in NYC.
That’s $215 and $275 respectively, right after spending serious cash the month before. Not out of just loyalty to my home turf, I am leaning towards improving my 1% and winging my 99% with my takeaways form San Diego. Chuck will be back, right? (Sounds like a song).
Based on Claudia’s and Grimmly’s blogs, I’d certainly go for Ramaswami’s gig if I had to choose. Chuck, most certainly, will be back.
My thoughts exactly D, although I really have such an affinity for Guruji’s early students, because of their trail making you know?
Being the enabler that I am you could always just take one portion of Chuck’s workshop for $55 a pop to get a taste for what he’s like as a teacher. Then if you like him you can sign up for the whole sha-bang when he comes back.
Smart enablers are few and far between. I thank you. I just might work my way through every contributor to Guruji-a portrait-through the eyes of his students!
Really? No hip-hop yoga?
Nope. And I saw his photo, he is gorgeous.
