Everyone who lives in the Tri-State area knows what I mean by that. You look up and feel that bruised spot in your heart. I forgot to kiss my husband this morning, I’m so upset about it that I’ve been close to weepy a couple of times already. Full intentional practice with pranayama and meditiation this morning was healing on many levels.
Even those of us who don’t live in NY feel the hole and get weepy. I kept thinking about a coworker (link below) who was killed on flight 11 and good friends with my neighbor at work. Good guy, loved kids and babies, very active in his church. Was excited to be adopting another baby from Asia; never got to meet his daughter.
Hi Beth, I just meant to note that the sky was just as beautiful that day, and those of us who shared the same weather do feel the strangeness of having something that makes us extremely happy like a beautiful day cause us heartache and melancholy. Absolutely every one in the land feels that bruise. And it is not just the insane loss of good guys destined to be great dads, it is also the loss of happy thoughts related to place and date. marriage proposals, and many types of celebrations, even someone’s routine, are tainted with loss and sadness. People who celebrate their birthdays on that day don’t celebrate the same way. Time and place can also be murdered.
